The Royal Throne Warmer

Upon preperation of the Royal Throne for the Coranation of King Charls III, the staff was met witth black Palace cat named Matins, sleeping on the Royal Throne in Westminster Abbey, apparently wanting to take part in the Coranation festivities, who presumabily, was particating in the duties of warming the royal seat of the throne for the future King.

It would appear that Queen Elizabeth II wasn’t the only one who occupied the Coronation Chair since the last time the Throne was used, as it was for the Coranation of Queen Elizabeth on 2nd June 1953.
