Our nearest Star (other than our Sun) is just a Short Hop

Should you wish to travel to our nearest star neighbor( Alpha Centauri) , which is 4.37 light years away ( beyond our Sun ), the journey will take you 300 years (a Light year is traveling at 186,280 miles per second, for one year) away, and you will be traveling at a speed of Ten (10) million miles per hour. Of course when you get within ten to twenty million miles from your destination, you will have already burned up.
