John Lloyd Wright, son of Frank Lloyd Wright, invented Lincoln Logs in the 1920s. So touched by President Abraham Lincolns honesty and integrity, he named them after him, as Lincoln was born in a log cabin in Kentucky in February 1809. Lincoln is often ranked in both popular and scholarly polls as the greatest president in American history.
