loops. Some men’s clothing companies add locker loops, so locker room users could hang up their dress shirts by that loop, keeping them wrinkle-free, even after they came back from a workout. You can still hang up men’s dress shirts by that little loop to this day. Because these lockers weren’t wide enough to accommodate a clothing hanger, shirts were sewn with fabric loops that could hang on hooks inside of the lockers. Hanging, instead of folding, also helped prevent shirts from getting wrinkled.
